Back in the late ’80s with the joining of ” Who framed Roger Rabbit” animation studios characters on screen, 00 created this sculptural mash-up of two icons of the ’60s and presented it to Hanna Barabera. 00 had entre due to his association with Iwao Takamoto, head of animation and creator of Scooby Do, among other ell-known characters.
Fred at approx. 6″ and Barney at approx. 5″ were solid resin casts of the original sculpts – Dino and the approx. 18″ Batmobile were original sculpey sculpts. Dino actually fit in the “trrunk”.
Encased in plexiglas with an original hand-painted background, HB bought it, and it went on display at HB’s offices for many years for all to see.
It seems that at some point when Warner Brothers acquired Hanna-Barbera that it ended up at auction.
